Discreet Swimming Aids for Adults?

Hello… I’m looking to start swimming but my fitness level isn’t great, and I’m not the strongest swimmer. I’m hoping to find some discreet swimming aids that can help me stay afloat and swim for longer periods without feeling embarrassed.

So far, all I’ve come across are arm bands, which don’t quite fit what I’m looking for. Are there any adult swimming aids that are more subtle and effective? I’m interested in options like flotation devices or other aids that can help me gradually build up my swimming skills and confidence.

If you have any recommendations or experience with discreet swimming aids, I’d love to hear about them…

Thanks in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey there! Starting swimming with discreet aids is a great idea to build confidence and improve your skills. For a subtle approach, consider using a swim belt or buoyancy belt, which wraps around your waist and provides flotation without being as noticeable as arm bands. Another option is a pull buoy, a small foam device placed between your legs to help with buoyancy and body positioning. There are also discreet swim fins or flippers that can provide additional propulsion and help improve your swimming technique. Additionally, some swimmers use swim vests designed for adults, which offer buoyancy and are less conspicuous. Gradually incorporating these aids into your routine will help you build endurance and confidence in the water. Happy swimming!

Here are four discreet swimming aids for adults learning to swim:

  1. Floats or Kickboards: Help practice leg kicks by holding the float in front.
  2. Pull Buoys: Support the body and focus on arm strokes.
  3. Fins: Aid in developing correct leg kicks and strength.
  4. Noodles: Provide versatile support for various swimming techniques.

Just go into water you can stand in and float on your front and back. Once you can do that it’s just adding some arm and leg movement,
