@Dakota
I had a pair of bone conduction ones, too, back then.
They were quite large and fell off all the time unfortunately. Sounds like the ones now work better, though.

I can confirm that they stay on well even over the cap.
I’ve started using headphones too and it’s such a game changer. I bought them a while ago but thought they felt uncomfortable around the goggles. Gave them a second chance and love it.
Do people just hate being alone with their thoughts now?

Psychooooo!
hahaha, just kidding my friend.
I like working out with music, but when I wanna be introspective (more often lately) or want to think about something specific, I go without my music all the way.
This was a dream for me back in the days, wow.
Do other people hear your music?
Also, when my pool is crowded I can hear buzzing noises in the water. I work in IT with electronics, and this is kinda similar to sounds of waves signals going through the water… It is interesting.
Yay! So glad that you enjoy it too!
Yes! Shokz have completely changed my swims!
I’ve been using Syrn from Amazon for the past 5 years for my daily swim; I need new headphones every 6 months, but the MP3 player is going strong after 5+ years. I highly recommend it.
I tried the Shokz; it drains battery too quickly and you still need ear plugs, plus Syrn is less than half the price. I have 3 of them for a variety of music genres, including new language learning podcasts for my hourly daily swim.
How do they work if you don’t have Bluetooth? Is there a wire?
I’ve had my Shokz (MP3 only) about 2 months now and they’ve really helped me up my game with training. I’ve created multiple folders, each with tracks that add to my target workout time. In addition to encouraging me to train longer, music also helps with pacing. Selecting songs with the right beat really helps focus my strokes. Mixing it up for zone training also works a treat.
I’ve been swimming with music for (oh my god I’m getting old) 11 years now, and it literally changed my life by helping me find exercise that I love.
I have been so tempted by these. Has anyone got or tried the Nank Runner Diver 2 Pro? Seems like a similar feature set to the Shokz but $50ish cheaper.
I bought a Xiaomi bone conduction headset, which is both Bluetooth and 32GB of memory to load tracks on when Bluetooth is not accessible. They are fully sealed, and I have used them underwater with no problems. I like them as you can still use ear plugs and even talk to other people with them fitted.
