I swim at the same pool 
Quick rant: I really dislike their silly rules
I can’t use paddles or fins with the lame excuse that it’s to keep everyone safe.
I asked if I could use their 50m pool where gear is allowed but they said, “Only the university swimming team can use it.”
It’s crazy because it’s empty most of the time and filled with water. 
Anyway, I still go there since it’s cheap but it’s a shame I can’t train properly in the pool.
