I have eye issues and cannot wear goggles that put pressure under the eye or in the eye socket. But I don’t want one that covers over my nose. This is for lap swimming (super badly, a major amateur here!) Please help!
Open water swimming goggles. 100% what you’re looking for.
I have an eyebrow piercing and regular goggles press against it, so I use a mask. I have the Arena One mask. Here is the link. I like it a lot. It has only one lens, so you have a better view than masks with separate lenses. It’s also comfortable and doesn’t leak easily.
Aquaspheres are great for this. The Keyanne model specifically.

I love Aquaspheres!!
Speedo Biofuse 2.0.
Tyr Special Ops 2.0 are bigger and might fit the bill…or your schnozz.
Maybe Snake and Pig goggles.
Speedo ProView mask. People have differing experiences with them. I have one, and it sometimes leaks a little if I don’t have it on just right. Another guy at my pool LOVES his.
Open water goggles are your best bet. If you want something a little more pool-oriented, the Arena Air Speed might work. It has a pretty good gasket that sits further outside the eye than most.
I would say the Arena Cobra Tri Swipe sits on your orbits, with no eyeball pressure. They were my first pair of goggles in September. Prior to that, I had only worn SCUBA masks.
Aquasphere Vista might be one to try. They have a really wide gasket. I find Huub Altair pretty comfortable, but the gasket might be too small for you.
I have a question about all of these options. Will they fall off if you dive into the pool? I’m planning to compete this summer and will need to dive for the start of the race. Like OP, I’d prefer to use goggles outside the eye socket.
I use Rantizon goggles: link.
Speedo goggles come in inner eye fit, middle eye fit, outer eye fit, and mask fit. The last two would work for you. Personally, I use outer eye fit.
Snake and Pig goggles.
Any open water mask will do this. Try the Aquasphere Vista.

That’s inside the eye socket.
