How much cheek is too much for men's swim briefs

I got some arena swim briefs, and they really show a lot of cheek—about a third of my butt, almost like a woman’s swimsuit cut. I personally don’t mind, but I wonder if it will look weird at the pool during lap swimming since it seems less common for men’s swimwear. They feel comfy, so I’d hate to get rid of them, but I don’t want to be seen as inappropriate. Appreciate any advice!

If your private parts are secure, it’s fair game.

Make sure everything else is covered too.

Aww! Let it hang free! :joy:

:sweat_smile::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: Might be a bit much for other swimmers :joy:

@Ellis
It’s like a keel on a boat, keeps you stable in the waves.

Nah, avoid any extra drag.

@Thane
Real talk, there’s not much drag with the little guy.

Big brands like Arena and Speedo don’t make swimsuits that are inappropriate for lap swimming. They’re made for it. If they feel good on you, then you’re fine.

I think we need a picture to truly understand the situation before I can give my thoughts.

Cheeks are fine.

If there’s anything showing from the front, then you might have a problem.

I’ve seen it all and it doesn’t bother me.

No issue at all. That’s typical for the Arena cut, Speedo has a bit more coverage at the back, and Zoggs has even more.

You need to check out the Australian “budgy smugglers” – great name for swimwear.

I might be in the minority, but I think too much cheek can be odd. But once you’re in the water, it doesn’t matter much.
