One of us. One of us. One of us.
I get it every summer. I put on SPF 50 before swimming, but I still get a faint line across my forehead. Wasn’t as bad as my watch and bathing suit tan lines though!
My grade 9 students have to do a 3km open water swim and some of them come back with really hilarious tan lines.
Wear waterproof SPF 50 sunscreen when outside (I wear UVMune 400 by La Roche for normal wear and a mineral sunscreen stick for surfing like Green Bush).
In the meantime, St. Tropez has a good self-tanner (the purity vitamins serum) for the face; you could do 1-2 pumps and reapply every 4-5 days on the pale part until the tan mellows out.

Yep, learned my lesson now, thanks for the tips!!!

No problem! Good luck; hopefully it fades quickly.
It’s ok; you need a goggle tan line to complete the duo.

Better than goggle tan lines .
I got a tan line on my nose from my goggles lol. It was funny.

No, I wish lol. It faded sadly.
I mean… as opposed to what? Slathering sunscreen on your forehead or not wearing a cap?
It’s par for the course for swimming outside.

Yes, I do slather sunscreen on my forehead.
@Windsor
Yeah, I had this happen once and was like, ‘Oh no, it was a LINE.’ Now I keep a little tin of Badger mineral SPF in my summer bag, the same stuff I use for surfing. A dab’ll do ya.

Should’ve worn the cap higher LOL.
It’s not that noticeable! Don’t worry too much.
Also, I find that the tan from an outdoor pool is usually more noticeable for a day compared to a tan from the sea etc. The skin turns a bit grey-ish from the chlorine and sun combo, but it only lasts that day. You might find it even less noticeable by tomorrow.
It can happen even when you are using good water-resistant sunscreen. The other day my mother asked me what I did to my nose, and I had no idea what she meant until I realized it was the goggles that left a tan line. I always wear high-factor water-resistant sunscreen…
Swimming in an indoor pool may not prevent suntans. If there is a lot of natural light, you’ll still get a tan. It just takes longer.
Haha, at least you have hair, and it’s only that small portion! I shave my head, but I still wear a cap to keep my earplugs in. So I have to tan in the sun after swimming in an outdoor pool; otherwise, I have this same tan line but without hair .
