My First 5K Swim and How It Should progress!

39M, 190cm (6’2"), swam from 4-17yo, restarted 6 months ago after 10 years off any sport, 117kg (254lb) → 93kg (205lb), swimming 4x/week, calisthenics 3x/week, moderate diet, never felt better…

It’s annoying how the Apple Watch tells you after swimming 5000 meters that you made a moderate effort.

Seriously, I was upset as well, lol.

Yup, I can even jump out of the water like Kevin Costner in Waterworld… it was 90% freestyle, the rest breast and back. The iWatch sucks at detecting styles.

So great! Amazing. I started swimming a little over a year ago. I have already swum 2km and am going to swim across the Bosphorus channel in Istanbul this August (6.5km).

Solid effort. Do you think it’s the swimming that is helping you lose more weight than the calisthenics (I assume it is, if you’re doing regular distances like these).

Bravoooooooooooooo

Cool that it can tell you were doing different strokes!!! Do you tell it you’re about to swim?
