Oh I’ve dreamed of swimming in this pool since I first saw it on a tour as a kid.

Same here! I’ve gone on the tour multiple times just for this pool! There’s also an outdoor pool and I heard they throw a party for donors where they can swim in that one, but not this indoor one!
@Ciel
That sounds awesome. The outdoor one must have a fun vibe too. It must be cool to have that kind of access as a donor.
@Ciel
It really frustrates me that there are beautiful pools that no one gets to swim in.

I would give anything to swim there.

Is it because it’s historical and they don’t want to risk damaging it?

The staff gets to swim there on certain holidays.

Looks like I need to move to Cambria and apply for a job.
@Zoren
Wow this one has a different but equally regal vibe.

I think the tour guide mentioned that Hearst rebuilt it 3 or 4 times until he was happy.
@Zoren
This one’s also beautiful, and you can actually swim in it if you’re a donor.
I wanted to jump in so badly during the tour.
Oh my god, I want to live there.

Same!
I drool every time I see this pool.
We’re posting pools that are empty for no reason. This one is empty for a very good reason.
Ah! You beat me to it! LOL.
My jaw just dropped.
