Swim etiquette tip

To anyone new to lap swimming (especially the f’n muppet “triathlete” in my lane this morning). If someone is faster than you and overtakes your slow ass, DO NOT grab their ankle and pull them back.

I’m sorry you’re frustrated, but ‘muppet triathlete’ has me laughing so hard.

Just to be clear he wasn’t a muppet because he was a triathlete. We have some great tri swimmers here - he wasn’t one of them…

I don’t get the muppet thing! What does it mean? I know muppets, but the context is lost on me here.

I mean it’s a bit ridiculous to be upset at Kermit for being a better swimmer. He is an amphibian after all.

I’m so glad that my club doesn’t share lanes. Granted, I have to get up at midnight to log onto my club’s app when it opens to reserve my lane for the day. A small price to pay to ensure that I get a lane at a decent time. At my club we have what are called bobbers. People who reserve a lane and just sit and bob in the water in a float belt talking to a bobber in another lane. Again, getting up at midnight to get a lane- small price to pay.
