Techniques to Improve Speed in Freestyle Swimming

What are the most effective techniques and training tips for swimming freestyle faster? I’m looking for advice on stroke mechanics, breathing patterns, and workout strategies to enhance my speed and efficiency in freestyle.

Spin drill? This is something I like doing for getting a better feel for turn over.

Particularly on sprint, turn over is key to going fast. How you do it is typically on single length sprints. Not even full length of you don’t want to.

But you start by just spinning the arms as fast as you can. No technique. But! As you spin up and get the rate you then start to blend in the technique whilst trying to maintain the rate.

If you’re already using a powerful kick, you can go even faster by dolphin kicking off the wall. Dolphins kicking off the wall can make you go even faster, and having a strong underwater kick can increase your lung capacity.
