What’s the deepest a human can dive?

How deep can someone dive before the water pressure becomes too much to handle? Just curious!

For freediving, people have gone over 300 feet deep. With scuba gear, it’s usually limited by gas toxicity at depth.

So, is there a point where the pressure just stops you from going back up?

Not really. You’ll lose buoyancy as you go deeper, but if you swim hard enough, you can still ascend.
