I recently bought an Arena and Speedo one-piece swim suit as I’m just starting to swim. I realized there’s no cups for the chest, so what do you wear? Do you just let your nipples show?
The lined swimsuit covers your nipples.
Personally, I don’t think I’ve ever really noticed anyone’s nipples in a one-piece. Chlorine-resistant suits are often compressive and usually double-lined, so you won’t have to worry about it.
Some of my swimsuits have padded cups that I always take out. Since they’re double-lined, nothing will show whether there are cups or not.
99% of people have nipples. If you’re uncomfortable, there are swimsuits with padded cups that provide support. Just wear what feels comfortable for you.
You just wear the swimsuit as is. Padding can add drag. There are differences between casual swimwear with cups and competition suits, which are typically double-layered. Unless your nipples are really hanging out, no one will notice.
Just embrace free nipples! Seriously, I wear one-pieces with or without lining and have never had an issue with anyone noticing. Plus, padding can slow you down—just focus on enjoying the swim!
I like supportive wear too. I hope you get some good recommendations!
If you’re well-endowed, some brands like Bravissimo carry Speedo suits designed for that. They might not have extra lining, but they do provide support.

With my small chest, I consider myself lucky!
Swimsuits are designed for compression. Even larger cup sizes are well-supported in one-piece competition suits, so you won’t have chafing or discomfort.
I don’t see why anyone should feel ashamed of their nipples. We all have them, and it’s not like I’m flashing them. No reason to feel bad about it.
Is your swimsuit too big? Mine is, unfortunately. Generally, swimsuits compress so much that no one notices each other’s bodies at the pool. We’re all just here to swim!
I wear a sports bra under my suit. It provides comfort, especially with a larger chest.
Honestly, it’s not as bad as you think. The suits are lined, and in the water, no one notices. Skipping the padding has even boosted my confidence!
For guys in jammers, it’s the same situation with everything on display.

It’s a pool; everyone wears swimsuits and focuses on swimming. No one is overly concerned whether someone is exposing themselves.
I use adhesive “Nippies”. They stay in place even in water.
