Are there earbuds you can use for swimming?

I want to start swimming again to feel better mentally and to help lose weight. I also have asthma, so running is tough for me. I’m looking for waterproof earbuds I can wear while swimming laps. I want something to distract me and not worry too much about the time. Can you recommend any?

I use Shokz Openswim, and they’re great. Since they use bone conduction, I put them on over my swim cap.

Your best option will be any bone conduction headset that is waterproof and has an integrated MP3 player. Since bone conduction is less picky than regular in-ear headphones since you don’t have to worry about water getting in your ears, it ends up being less finicky than Bluetooth, which doesn’t really work well underwater, so you need to have something that you can load files into. Although Shokz are undoubtedly the most well-known, my dad gave me a pair that is quite similar from Amazon that is approximately $30–40 less expensive (depending on if a discount is going on) and works pretty good.

I absolutely enjoy listening to music when I swim. I find that I can relax a little more and cover more ground in the same amount of time because I’m not as aware that I’m working out.

Just so you know, most water-resistant earphones aren’t water-compatible. Most Bluetooth signals are interfered with by the water. I am aware that some are essentially memory-equipped MP3 players. Those should work, in my opinion.

Use H2O Audio Surge

These earbuds are waterproof and engineered to withstand the rigors of swimming. They feature a wrap-around design for a secure fit and come with multiple ear tip sizes

I would recommend the JBL Endurance Race as they are comfortable on the ear

I have been using the The FINIS Amnis Stream as they have an easy to set up bluetooth feature enabling you to stream music
