Tuesday is swimming class, and I do not feel confident with a bikini top. However, I have to swim in my binder because it is not permitted for us to wear swimming shirts. I have trouble breathing, which is the issue. I had trouble breathing the last time we saw each other (I was not wearing a binder). And because swimming is a requirement for passing PE, I am quite anxious about our 200-meter swim requirement. If we do not pass, we fail. Ive done some research and people often recommend wearing a size to big when swimming but I can’t get one to where i live in four days.
Is there anything that I can do to help things along? Should I make an effort to discuss it with my PE teacher? If yes, what ought I to tell her?
Swimming in a binder is definitely possible. I have done it on numerous occasions.
You should consider getting your lungs checked out by a doctor. Swimming in college was quite a challenge for me, as my asthma wasn’t well-controlled and even a regular women’s one piece swimsuit couldn’t make it any easier. I’ve noticed that chlorine can really make my asthma symptoms worse.
It’s strongly advised that you avoid wearing your single binder when swimming in a chlorine pool. Your binder will become considerably more brittle and have a much shorter lifespan as a result. They should be fine the first time, especially if you thoroughly clean it off afterwards, but they don’t actually last long before they break entirely.
I used to swim for years using GC2B binders, however I only ever kept one binder for swimming, and I had to get a new one around every four months, which can grow quite expensive and isn’t the best option if you have other obstacles to purchasing a binder.
It is basically not advisable to swim in a binder, especially one made for chest binding. It is best to use a binder made especially for swimming, sometimes known as a swim binder, if you must bind while swimming. These are safer to use in the water since they are constructed of materials that are more resistant to salt and chlorine. But when swimming, always pay attention to your body and put safety first.
Generally swimming in a binder is not recommended, they were made to compress the chest, which may make breathing difficult. Breathing freely is essential when swimming, especially because the sport may be physically taxing. They are made to compress the chest, which may make breathing difficult.
