Does anyone swim with the Apple Watch 10?

I’ve been thinking about getting the garmin swim 2 forever but now tempted by the new AW.

Swim laps and open water (not salt ) and don’t have a tracker at the moment. As I’m getting better I’m swimming further and would like to be able to switch off and swim for time rather than counting laps. I’m thinking of getting a music player but I know I can’t count laps in that case!

I also do a weights fitness class a few times a week. So HR might be interesting. But mainly this is for swimming.

I’m in the Apple eco sphere.

Anyone tried the AW 10 yet?

I swim mostly in rivers and the sea with my AW10, which tracks GPS and water temp accurately.

I think it’s too new to tell lol, it just released a month ago but it’s basically the same thing as the series 9 but slimmer so it should perform the same if not better

@Hotdish I don’t have the 10 but have used a few different Apple Watches since I started swimming. This one’s an 8. It counts laps and works well in the ocean and in lakes. I haven’t had a Garmin to compare but like my Apple Watch. Just a disclaimer it’s designed to be worn all the time.

I’ve taken so long to decide to get the swim 2 I guess maybe my heart just isn’t in it! I’d get it (for myself!) for Xmas., so time to see how the reviews go. Not bothered about the battery as I wfh so easy to charge when I get back from a swim. Like the idea of it linking to my phone and the always on feature. I’d get a AW 9 but they’re out of stock mainly and not much cheaper anyway.

Yes, just replaced my series 4 with a series 10. I swim 3x a week and it’s doing great.
