Entry Rail Installed at an Angle—Is That Normal?

My mom (82F) had an entry rail installed on her spa to help her get in and out. I noticed, from a picture, that the rail wasn’t installed parallel to the side of the pool.

Is this common or did they make a mistake? She really trusts her pool guy, so I’m hoping it was done correctly.

Are you upset over a 1mm difference?

Do it yourself the next time. Save your mother a few hundred dollars.

@AquaAdventurer Exactly, particularly if they plan to complain. It’s off, yes, but not by much. Additionally, I believe that the handrail’s end should be closer to the pool given its current location.

This is some careless job.

I see a railing installed parallel to the pool’s edge… It will malfunction and result in further harm if it is attached too closely.
