Favorite lap pool temp?

It’s beginning to getting colder out and heaters haven’t kicked on just yet at the pool I swim at. This morning it was 79, which is a bit brisk if you ask me upon entry. It does feel nice after a good 500 in.

I think my sweet spot is 81. What’s yalls favorite?

I know I’ll be in the minority, but 80-81 is perfect for me

Depends on how hard the practice is. During a recovery day, 81 is good. During a hard workout I want it as low as 75

@JAMOH you’re tough!

Lol. I became more of a distance swimmer in the later years of my swimming career. So when I’m doing an excessive amount of laps, I don’t want to overheat

Me personally, I love around 76-77. I over heat very easily.
Rather than number, I think eveyone should focus on the initial feel when you get in. Since we are all different, various temperature effect us all differently, my barometer for “perfect” is if i jump in and think… “ohh a little chilly”. I usually like to be a little chilled until 150-200 into warm up. Thats perfect pool temp!

@TUCKER I like this as a standard rule
