Whenever I float in water, I feel like I’m sinking. I have to constantly hold my breath and can hardly talk because I always need to keep air in my lungs. When I start talking, I sink.
Hey @NicklausKeen, check out the video below, the guy in it makes it look easy ;
Hello guys , for to float on water effortlessly you must align your body with the surface of the water and spread your arms and legs to your sides like a star fish. This distributes your weight across the surface of the water making it easier to float. If your legs start to sink you can gently kick your legs to keep them higher in the water. Floating effortlessly in water involves a combination of buoyancy, body positioning, and relaxation. Buoyancy is the upward force that water exerts on an object, counteracting the weight of that object. Human bodies are naturally buoyant due to the air in the lungs and the lower density of fat compared to water.
People with high body fat content float. There is some truth to the concept that being tight has an affect on floating, but it boils down to muscle contraction and exhalation.
Relax!! Focus on controlling your breathing and avoid struggling against the water. Instead of keeping your head excessively high, aim for brief moments to take a breath. Maintain a flat position in the water with your hips slightly raised for easier floating.
