Hi there, I am a 25-meter pool swimmer, and I just finished a 500-meter swim in 9:59.
That is equivalent to a 9:05 in a yard pool, according to a swim pace calculator.
To what extent are these accurate? In yards, would I have really swum a 9:05?
Regards!
Fairly Precise Calculation: 1 meter = 1.0936 yards.
It’s tough to say for sure because the best calculators use competition distances, and 500 meters isn’t one of them. But a 54-second improvement over 500 yards or meters sounds about right.
