I used to swim competitively from ages 6 to 13, with my fastest 50m freestyle time being 28.7 seconds. I’m 18 now, and I’ve gotten taller, bigger, and stronger since then. I’ve recently started getting back into swimming, going about 3 times a week.
My goal is to see if I can hit a sub 26-second time in the long course 50m freestyle by the end of the year. I’m considering increasing my practice frequency to 6 times a week. Given my background and current training plan, do you think it’s realistic for me to achieve this goal within the year?
