Is the University pool really bigger in Texas

It’s on another level. In Ireland, there are only 2 Olympic size swimming pools that I know of. I would love to have easy access to one

There are 4 of them, but not all allow public access unfortunately. The closest to me, UCD, is members only I think.

I spent a week at the Texas Swim Camp when I was 13 swimming in this pool twice a day. It’s a really great pool. I highly recommend it if you get the chance to swim there

Not bad. I think the Texas A&M Natatorium is a bit better

I’ll have to visit cstat to check it out sometime

I’ve swam in that pool

The most amazing pool in the world

Finally a pool I recognize! I’ve practiced there a lot over the years

Meanwhile our university pool is 3x12m lanes and I’m just sitting here feeling really down seeing this

I raced in this pool a few times. Every time was tough

Is this the imitation UT with that weird orange?

The real UT, Tennessee, has three Olympic sized pools and three 10 meter diving wells next to each other. Two sets indoors and one outdoors.

Go Big Orange

@Harper
I had one of the best meets of my life at the old Tennessee pool. I haven’t been to the new one

That’s saying something because the old pool was slow due to being shallow with bad blocks and gutters.

I don’t know the new pool stats, but it certainly looks faster than the old one

@Harper
Looks like we’re really in your head, huh

I mean, all the sensitive downvotes over some light teasing doesn’t look great for you Longhorns. A bit touchy, huh?

Guess Volunteers are just tougher and can take some jokes better.

I will say UT No. 2 has a consistently better swim team than UT No. 1.
