Looking for Swim Watch Recommendations

Hey everyone! I’m in the market for a swim watch, but I’m incredibly picky, which makes choosing one a challenge. I’d love your help!

Here’s what I’m looking for:
:white_check_mark: Minimal & Lightweight – No bulky designs.
:white_check_mark: Basic Features – Just need it to tell time; a simple stopwatch would be a bonus.
:white_check_mark: Versatile Style – Something I can wear casually, even to bars or out and about.
:white_check_mark: Comfortable – I have fibromyalgia, so anything clunky or heavy is a no-go.
:white_check_mark: Budget-Friendly – I have a $100 Amazon gift card, but I’m willing to pay a little more for good quality.

If you don’t want it to track laps, distance, speed, splits, strokes, or anything like that, then it’s not really a swimming question. You just want a waterproof watch, right? Honestly, the standards are so low that you can just check the Amazon reviews to figure out if it’s bad. Most are Casio, so I think they are all pretty similar. I’m not sure what you mean by multifunctional and wearing it to a bar. You can wear whatever you want to the bar, I assume. Maybe some people here are experts on waterproof watches, but I’ve mostly seen posts asking about accuracy for tracking laps or distance. Good luck with your search!

I wear a Casio F91WC, which is about 15 dollars.

That’s the first watch that popped into my head too.

It’s the best watch for everything. I wear it while surfing, traveling, climbing, and more. You can’t go wrong with it.

Try the Timex Ironman series. That’s what I remember most people wearing before smart watches became popular. They also offer women’s styles that are thinner and lighter.

I agree with others that this isn’t really a swimming specific question but more general watch advice. I wore a simple Casio for a while (I think it’s the same as the one in your first screenshot) and I really liked it.

You could look at a Fitbit which costs about 100 dollars. I love mine because it tracks laps during swim workouts, steps, and distance when running or walking. I’m not sure how accurate it is, but I’m not really a gear or data person like some others. In my opinion, it’s nice looking so I wear it all the time.

@Dez
I wear a Fitbit Inspire and it’s slim and lightweight, perfect for workouts and has a clear screen. It locks during swimming, so it only shows your time.

I have a Shark watch and it’s really great! I like that they come in many colors compared to other waterproof watches.

I’m a swim coach and I swim daily, and the Shark watch is my favorite. They are durable, super waterproof, come in fun bright colors, and have a good stopwatch and timer.

Just a basic waterproof Casio.

Casio AE-1200WH works best for me.

I wear a very cheap Casio (under 10 pounds) for swimming and surfing, and it has never let me down.

I was in a similar situation about a week ago. I did some research and found out from instructions that a water resistance under 100m isn’t great, and that 100m is about the minimum for swimming. I learned that for serious water sports, 200m is better. I got the Timex Expedition Shock XL. They have many options in the Expedition line, so you can find one that fits your needs. Mine has a timer, stopwatch, and reminders for yearly or monthly occasions. I can set 3 alarms that can vibrate, which is useful if I’m underwater and can’t hear them. It has been easy to use and I got mine used off Amazon with no scratches, so even though it was used, it felt new to me. I’m really happy with it. I learned that 50m isn’t necessarily safe for swimming, even if I thought so at first.

Just get any digital waterproof watch. Basically any digital watch that isn’t under 10 bucks.

I got my W-59 Casio for just 18 dollars!
