@Uma
I think the watch doesn’t maintain good contact in water. It’s inconsistent when tracking my heart rate too.

only 2000 calories? what a disappointment
Calories from swimming on the Apple Watch always seem way too low for me, so I don’t really worry about them.
How accurate would you say the heart rate measurement seems based on what you’re doing?
Swimming is the hardest workout I do, yet other less intense sports have me hitting max heart rates of 180 while swimming I don’t go over 160.
@Kai
In all my years of swimming, even after sprinting, my heart rate never reached the level it would after a decent jog. I’m not even close to being able to explain why, but I do trust the heart rate monitoring for consistency across different exercises.
@Lyle
I don’t trust my Apple Watch much for monitoring my heart rate underwater. But if it is somewhat accurate, it aligns with the mammalian dive reflex Diving reflex - Wikipedia

Well I’ll be damned, that really sums up the results I see. I really appreciate you sharing!

Ah, I see. I swam 1550 yards last week and my Amazfit Balance said I burned 870.

Something seems off with those stats
1m30s per 100 average?!!
I dream of 50m pools. Just a dream.
