How much rest do you take between fly sets?

What sort of fly sets are you doing?

M40 - Swimming 50m Butterfly at competitions as my focus event.

Stating the obvious, but when doing fly sets I am gassed at the end of each lap.

I tend to do a lot of 25m fly into 25m easy breaststroke or freestyle (for recovery purposes). So 50m sets x 5 or sometimes 10. In between 50s I spend as much time at the wall as I feel I need to until my HR drops to about 120 where I am happy to go again. I am doing my 25m fly in 14/15 seconds so I am going about 95% (is there any other way to do fly lol).

Sometimes I might spend about 1-2mins at the wall letting my HR drop and it just feels like a very long time. I am interested to hear how much time others spend recovering when doing fly and what sort of sets you are doing to improve. PB stands at 30.03 and wanting to get close to 28s at an event next month.
