How far is your pool from your house?

It takes me one hour to reach the pool by public transport, 2 hours to swim and another one hour to return home. Yet I’m so addicted to swimming I feel like going daily. Sometimes I feel guilty for spending 4 hours of my day for a swim but I can’t do anything about it. It makes me feel less depressed.

I just moved to a new apartment with a 50m pool. Because of these, I learnt how to swim. Just started 4 months ago.

An apartment with a 50m pool? You are living the dream.

Niiiice.

5 mins by car…10 mins by bike.

Haha, I didn’t realise context and I was going to complain that it’s about 20 meters away as it’s set far off the back deck.

I have a small pool in my apartment complex. It’s not the best of pools (just 15m long) but it’s right here and it’s free so that’s where I swim for the most part.

Lucked out and it’s a 5 min walk. Not the nicest pool, and it’s always busy, but I can’t complain.

Closest is 15 minutes away by car but water is cold in that one. Another one is 25 minutes away and is worth the ride because water temperature is perfect and it has a sauna.

I’m waiting for our city council to open the swimming pool in my city and then it’s a 15 minute walk.

Mine is like a 15 minute drive away. No complaints.

20 minutes walk, and is an 8 lane 50 meters. I love it, literally love the pool, feel butterflies when I see it.

Previously having a good pool to go was an afterthought, but if I need to move now, it needs to be near one, and a good one too. It’s a priority for myself.

The one I usually go to is 45 min by public transport; there are 2 different ones around 1h where I go if that one is fully booked (competition or something).

There’s one I sometimes go in summer which is like a 30 min bike ride, but it’s an 18m pool and I prefer normal 25 or 50 so I don’t go there often.

About a 10 minute drive. Used to have to drive to another town before I switched gyms.

25 minutes from home; 4 minutes from work.

It is about a 10 minute walk for me.

Google Maps says 14 minutes or 6 minutes for me.

45 mins travel time & 15 mins walking. I love swimming, I go regularly 5 days a week, 90 mins great exercise. I’ve met someone I swim with & we are normally the last in the pool so the last 20 mins we do backstroke. My mate says I’m in a right mood because I haven’t been swimming. I’m so used to going I lost 2 stone & belly gone.
Got to get back up the deep end & do a length. Was told I could do it & so want to do it. I’ll be happier after I’ve done my 1st length. Can do 18m front crawl.

9 min by bike.

About 5 meters.

10-15 min away by car. The distance would be cycleable, but the infrastructure in the area is very dangerous for it, which is a shame.
