What’s in your swim bag?

Hi! I just started swimming again (30s) after growing up swimming and playing water polo.

I’m curious, what’s in your swim bag? I’m sure it’s changed since over 10+ years ago when I was competing!

Also if you want to be specific as to brands of items, I love reading that!

Right now I have:
Keys
Phone
Hairbrush
Pony tail holder
Speedo Fins
Speedo Goggles
Swim outlet cap
Towel
Honey stinger gummies
Stanley water bottle

Back in the 70’s, we had a teammate who tossed his loose change into his swim bag It was an over-the-shoulder bag, not a backpack style By the end of the season, his bag was hanging low like a duffle bag We convinced him to count the change at the end-of-season meet It totaled over $100 in quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies He often wondered why his shoulder always hurt

I have goggles, a snorkel, webbed neoprene gloves, and a towel I live 2 blocks from the pool so I shower at home Sunscreen applied at home first thing in the morning every day because Florida

I have a JannSport bag, and in it I have:

  • swimming shorts, goggles, swim cap
  • a sweat towel, gym shoes, active tights, shorts, t-shirt for the gym, water bottle, notebook, pen
  • flip-flops, micro-fiber towel, padlock, shower bag
  • toilet bag with safety razor, traveler’s shaving foam, specialty shampoo, conditioner, body wash
  • socks, underpants, and undershirt
  • a toilet bag with deodorant, foot powder, moisturizer, sunblock, perfume, toothpaste, toothbrush
  • a bottle of soda pop
  • headphones, a power pack, and a charging cable

My life is hectic and I fit in what training I can, either at work or the pool complex I keep this stuff in the car just in case

Keen swimmers will notice there aren’t any fins or pull buoys

In my backpack, I have my gym pass, lock, extra underwear, and a towel My gear bag, which I take to the pool, has two pairs of goggles, ear plugs, paddles, fins, a pool buoy, and my workouts in a Ziploc bag

I’m a 38m and started swimming seriously again a year ago Right now my bag consists of:

DMC fins
Speedo kickboard
Speedo pull buoy
Speedo paddles
Finnis snorkel
Finnis parachute
Zogs goggles
2x tennis balls

Freestyle drill Hold them in your hand and swim It helps to improve catch position by forcing you to use your forearm to drive you forward

Because I’d cheat and open my hands This way makes sure I won’t

I started swimming regularly in June Swimwear, towel, and shower gel since I always shower after swimming I also bring a drink as I go into the sauna/steam room

What’s a bag? I wrap my goggles in my towel and go to the pool I usually change before I go so when I come back I wrap my suit in the towel too I sometimes will take some paddles, but I can’t remember the last time I used fins

Towel, Speedo goggles, cash, clothes, waterproof phone pouch, and phone I’d eventually like to get a swim cap and nose plugs but I’m still a beginner so I don’t have those things yet unfortunately

My bag is non-branded from Amazon, and I also use a Crown Royal bag that I take onto the pool deck It feels funny, but I wanted something I didn’t care if it got wet and they’re great as disposable pouches
